Amidon high power ferrite balun to feed 300 ohm line or antenna. Same time you have a loy of protectin for lighting voltage surges. Less BCI inteference and broad frequency portion to be able to use on low SWR. This is original Amidon balun. 1.5 -30MHz.

Anyway on outdoor installation the protection for weather must be done. You could use even the pail is recommended or other shield.
